Six-metre-high sample facades have been erected in front of the construction site at Rohrdamm in Berlin Siemensstadt. This gives employees, visitors and passers-by an impression of what the new atrium building and the high-rise will look like from the outside once completed.
Clearly visible: plant trellises are attached to the outside of the atrium building, which will later be used to grow green plants up the building. And the sample façade of the high-rise building shows that solar panels can be installed outside the windows in order to use the building façade to generate energy. At the same time, the sample façades show how well the new buildings will fit into the surrounding cityscape.
